Club communications starter course expanded – new copyright section added

Do you feel like you could use some help with your clubs’s communication? Are you confused by all the different communication channels? Don’t worry — the introductory course in sports club communication is designed specifically to help you.

The club communications starter course, as the name suggests, helps you get started with your club’s communication efforts. The course is open to everyone and free of charge, offering an in-depth look at writing, social media, and crisis communication, with simple tips and advice for both planning and implementing communications for your organization. The course is currently available only in Finnish.

The communications training has been expanded

The club communications starter course has been expanded to include a section on copyright. In the section on copyright, you’ll learn more about issues related to the use of images, videos, music, and text.

  • Communication in competitions and events
  • Copyright: Images, videos, and permissions
  • Crisis communication
  • Digital communication tools

The training modules can be completed in any order. This means you can choose the training modules that best suit your club’s needs.

The training program was developed in collaboration with communications officers from the Olympic Committee, the national sports federations, and the regional sports organizations. We would also like to thank the representatives from the sports clubs who participated in its implementation.
