This is the accessibility statement for the online service of the Finnish Olympic Committee

This accessibility statement concerns the web service olympiakomitea.fi.

There are shortcomings in describing the purpose of input fields

Input fields are not identified with appropriate autocomplete attributes. (1.3.5)

Text contrast is occasionally insufficient

The contrast between normal-sized text and the background is below 4.5:1 in certain areas. (1.4.3)

There are issues with keyboard navigation in the search

Search suggestions cannot be controlled using only the keyboard. (2.1.1)

There are issues with focus order

The focus order is not logical in some places, or there are extra focusable elements on the site. (2.4.3)

The purpose of some links may be unclear to users

There are links on the site whose purpose might be unclear to users. (2.4.4)

Some elements lack visible focus

There are elements on the site that do not receive visible keyboard focus. (2.4.7)

There are shortcomings in the error message

The error message in the newsletter form is not descriptive and is placed in an inadequate location. (3.3.1)

The input field lacks a visible label

The email field in the newsletter form lacks a visible label. (3.3.2)

Robust

Individual elements have insufficient accessible names

The accessible names of certain elements contain English. (4.1.2)

An element lacks a role

The countdown timer lacks a role. (4.1.2)

The state of certain elements is not conveyed to assistive technology users

There are individual elements in the service that have states that are not conveyed to assistive technology users. (4.1.2)

Status messages are not conveyed to screen readers

Screen readers do not directly receive the search results or information about the successful submission of forms. (4.1.3)

Other Accessibility Deficiencies

There may be videos in the service that were published before September 23, 2020. Accessibility requirements do not apply to videos published before September 23, 2020.
