SM-viikko showcases the diversity of Finnish sports
SM-viikko is one of the events organized by the Olympic Committee, and KOKO Tapahtuma Cooperative is responsible for the operational delivery of the event in collaboration with the sports federations, Yle, and various stakeholders from the City of Espoo. In addition, local sports clubs play a major role in organizing the Finnish Championships.
The main idea behind SM-viikko is to showcase the diversity of Finnish sports and bring lesser-known sports to the attention of the general public. In addition to the medal competitions, SM-viikko offers visitors plenty to see and experience beyond the medal events. Visitors will have the opportunity to try many of the featured sports themselves or get to know the top athletes and their equipment. There will also be demonstrations of the various sports.
