Are you interested in serving as an athlete representative on the Finnish Olympic Committee’s Board? At the Olympic Committee’s autumn meeting on 28 November 2026, four Board members will be elected, one of whom must be an athlete representative.
At all times, at least two of the members of the board must be athlete representatives. An athlete representative must be either an active athlete or an athlete who retired from competitive sport no more than eight years ago. Esa-Pekka Mattila will continue to serve as an athlete representative on the Board for the next two years. We are therefore now seeking one athlete representative for the next four-year term.
The Athletes’ Committee will propose a candidate for the athlete representative position. The committee will meet on 11 November to decide on its candidate and, if necessary, vote on the candidates. So, if you are interested in the position of athlete representative on the Finnish Olympic Committee’s Board, please submit your application by 1 November 2026, using the link below.
