Olympiapäivä

Olympic Day, Olympiapäivä is back!

Olympic Day is back — bigger, more inclusive, and more inspiring than ever. On Friday, September 4, 2026, the Finnish Olympic Committee invites children and young people to experience the joy of sports at the Helsinki Olympic Stadium and its surroundings from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Finnish Olympic Committee is organizing the event in collaboration with the City of Helsinki, the Olympic Stadium, the Tahto Sports and Physical Activity Cultural Center, as well as the Olympic Committee’s member organizations, sports clubs, and partners.

The event will be hosted by Aaron Räty, an 18-year-old host, entrepreneur and actor, and Emma Nummela, a 17-year-old host, journalist and actor. Räty is particularly passionate about endurance sports. Nummela’s long-standing interests include dance, show jazz and acrobatics.

What?

On Olympic Day, the area around the Stadium will be filled with dozens of activity stations where experts in various sports will guide children and young people in trying out different sports. The specific sports and other activity stations will be finalized during the spring of 2026.

Where?

The event will take place at the Helsinki Olympic Stadium and its surrounding area, Paavo Nurmentie 1, 00250 Helsinki.

When?

Olympic Day will be celebrated on Friday, September 4, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
